ISKCON Punjabi Bagh celebrated the most glorious festival of Radhashtami on 3rd Sep. Srimati Radharani, who is the pleasure potency of the lord is the top-most devotee of Krishna and is the source of all consorts and all goddesses of fortune. On this auspicious occasion, the deities are adorned with a new dress and special make-up.
The altar was decorated with vibrant, colorful flowers which spread their fragrance everywhere. It felt the complete surrounding was just wanted to serve the lotus feet of Srimati Radharani. Devotees performed kirtan and glorified Srimati Radharani by singing wonderful songs composed by Vaishnava Acharyas. Thousands of devotees visited the temple to witness the celebrations.
The Deities of Sri Radha Radhikaraman were bathed with milk, curd, ghee, honey and jaggery water, followed by juices from varieties of fruits like muskmelon, apple, watermelon, pineapple, pomegranate, orange, sweet lime, papaya, grapes etc. The celebrations concluded with grand prasadam for all devotees in Punjabi Bagh Club.
