small-vector Harinama-sankirtana (the congregational chanting of the holy names of the Lord) may be most familiar from seeing the devotees out in the streets, dancing in a unique style and chanting in chorus the maha-mantra Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare accompanied by mridangas (two headed drums) and karatalas (hand cymbals). This is the Yuga Dharma launched by Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Himself, The Father of the sankirtana movement. Street chanting has always been an integral part of Krsna Consciousness. The ecstatic Harinams along with graceful dances have always charmed the onlookers providing them surplus devotional credits and helping the participating devotees come closer to spiritual realizations of the merciful nature of Krsna and His Holy Name. The sweet Holy names get sweeter when chanted in the association of enthusiastic devotees of the Lord. In this kali Yuga the ONLY process recommended for us to go back home back to Godhead is to chant the holy names of the Lord. We request you all to take part in this activity and take advantage of the benefit available to you by loudly chanting and hearing the Holy name. We at ISKCON, Punjabi Bagh have a dedicated team who is ready to help you in organizing a Harinaam in your locality. small-vector
