World Holy Name Week 201712 Oct 2017, Posted by
The Sankirtan Revolution of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, is being propagated by ISKCON, through this annual festival, which focusses on extensive kirtans/japa/harinaams etc. The main aim still remains the same, to spread the glories of Holy Names in every possible way. This year also marks the centurial anniversary of Srila Prabhupada’s arrival in the USA. Therefore, this year’s theme is called ‘Srila Prabhupada’s gift to the world’.
Keeping this superlative instruction of previous acarayas, ISKCON Punjabi Bagh hosted a series of events, from 9 th Sep – 17 th Sep 2017. There were almost 8 Harinaams organized at various locations in New Delhi. All of them attracted a wide range of audience and infused them with sound of Mahamantra. “Chant Dance Feast Repeat” the festival tagline was vividly seen in these processions.
Japathon session was organized on 16 th Sep which included chanting of 64 rounds on the auspicious occasion of Indira Ekadashi. The congregation participated whole heartedly and made it a success. Separate Japathon cards were also distributed to the members to note their incremented japa rounds. It too drew overwhelming response.
