Brick by Brick: A Historic Temple Laying Ceremony

As part of the ongoing temple expansion project, ISKCON Punjabi Bagh organized a first-of-its-kind five-day “Temple Brick Laying Ceremony” on 2nd, 3rd, 16th, 17th, and 24th of May. The initiative invited congregation members, guests, well-wishers, and donors to personally participate in the construction of the new temple by laying a brick within the structure itself. Each brick was lovingly inscribed with the names of the participating devotees and their family members, creating a deeply personal and devotional connection with the project.

Over 2000 such inscribed bricks were placed in the ceremony, making the event a remarkable success and allowing many to feel genuinely involved in the service of temple construction. Many visitors were inspired to voluntarily support the construction efforts, both during the event and through future commitments. More than a ceremonial activity, the initiative became a heartfelt expression of collective participation in devotional service and community building.
