World Environment Day Celebrated at Hare Krishna Sunday School

On the occasion of World Environment Day, students of the Hare Krishna Sunday School at ISKCON Punjabi Bagh enthusiastically participated in a special “Best Out of Waste” activity. The children showcased impressive creativity by crafting models and artworks using recyclable materials, learning the importance of sustainability and environmental responsibility in a fun and practical way.

Addressing the students, HG Murali Krishna Prabhu (ISKCON Punjabi Bagh Co-President) emphasized the need to avoid wastefulness in daily life and encouraged mindful use and reuse of everyday items. He reminded the children that nature is a sacred gift of the Supreme Lord, and must be respected and preserved.

As a thoughtful takeaway, each participant received a recyclable seed pencil, which can be planted after use—further reinforcing the values of sustainability through action. The event concluded on an uplifting note, inspiring children to grow with a sense of gratitude, responsibility, and care for Krishna’s creation.
