Balaram Purnima celebrations at ISKCON Punjabi Bagh

Like every year, ISKCON Punjabi Bagh was the centre of Balaram Purnima celebrations in Delhi. The only temple in Delhi with the deities of Krishna Balarama, was visited by devotees from across the city.

The morning prayers and japa were followed by Balarama katha by HH Bhakti Ashraya Vaishnava Swami Maharaj. This was followed by abhishek of Sri Sri Krishna Balaram deities amidst vibrant sankirtan by hundreds of devotees. The festival became more memorable due to the presence of HG Pavan Nitai Prabhu from Australia – a kirtaniya the community loves! The festivities were completed with a grain-free feast for all.

Balaram Purnima was and will continue to be one of the most special festivals for the ISKCON Punjabi Bagh community, as it gives an opportunity to the temple devotees to host several senior devotees who specially visit the temple on this day.
