Bidding Farewell to one of Srila Prabhupada’s frontline soldier (6 Dec)

ISKCON Punjabi Bagh continued its celebrations of the glorious life of HH Bhakti Madhurya Govind Goswami Mahraja who left for the spiritual abode on 14th November 2020. Maharaj’s memorial program was divided in two parts – first a virtual program with devotees from all over the world, and second – a congregation at Maharaj’s home, ISKCON Punjabi Bagh temple, with all the local devotees. The virtual memorial was graced by the presence of one of Prabhupada’s fondest disciple, Maharaj’s brother and the designer of the San Fransisco Rathyatra carts – Nara Narayan Prabhu.

Nara Narayan Prabhu spoke fondly about his dear younger brother while sharing memories from their childhood. The memorial at the temple had senior devotees, Maharaj’s personal servants, caretakers and temple devotees talk about Maharaj’s love for all, his compassionate heart, his endearing deities and mark Maharaj has left in everyone’s heart. Maharaj’s room was beautifully decorated as a museum with his photographs of childhood, youth as well as his pictures with Srila Prabhupada.
