Gita Jayanti Mahayagya (14 Dec 2021)

This year marked the 5,158th anniversary of the conversation that took place between Lord Krishna and Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. Just as the Holy Name of the Lord is non-different from the Lord Himself, there is no difference between Lord Krishna and the Bhagavad Gita, His instruction.

At ISKCON Punjabi Bagh we observed Gita Jayanti with a Bhagavad Gita yagya in which the members of our congregation had the opportunity to recite all 700 verses of the Bhagavad Gita while offering herbal sacrifices to the holy fire. Following this was an enlivening class by HG Rukmini Krishna Prabhu and various other speakers. The Lord says, “Do not doubt My word, whoever preaches this Bhagavad Gita is very, very dear to Me; they certainly attain My supreme abode and come back home, back to Godhead”
