Holyname week (17th – 23rd Sep 2020)

The week of 17th-23rd Sep marks the celebration of world holyname week. The divine sound of Lord’s name is non-different from Lord Himself and forms the foundation of worldwide Krishna consciousness movement started by Srila Prabhupada. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, the Lord’s most merciful incarnation appeared in the dark age of Kali to freely distribute the highest goal of life, that is Krishna’s love, by the most divine sankirtan movement. Despite COVID challenges, the event is witnessing enthusiastic participation from temples around the world.

ISKCON Punjabi Bagh is also organizing several events/activities to celebrate the divine festival of holynames:

  • Bhagawatam Classes on Holyname
  • Japathon on 19tj Sep, with several hundreds of devotees chanting 64 rounds sitting at their homes.
  • 5 hours kirtan in temple hall on 23 Sep
  • Fortunate people campaign, with thousands of entries from congregation. Many participated by making videos of people chanting the holy name for ‘love and peace’ thus making them fortunate.
