Reaching out early, and to the depths

On 16th January, 25000 students from 7 states and 77 Eklavya-schools appeared for their International Value Education Olympiad exam organised by ISKCON Punjabi Bagh in collaboration with the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, UNEP and Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate change. 25000 booklets on topic ‘Future Ethics’ which centres around 6 important values required to integrate environmental sensitivity and tackle climate change were also distributed earlier. The curriculum integrated the teachings of Bhagavat Gita and other traditions, modern research and historical case studies around each of the 6 values.The exam, booklets ,certificates were all made accessible free of cost to all participants. The winners of the International Value Education Olympiad will be felicitated in a special ceremony in Delhi on the 29th of January.
