This year, ISKCON globally initiated a campaign to extensively distribute Prabhupada’s Srimad Bhagawatam around the world on the most auspicious occasion of Bhadra Purnima. After Krishna’s departure from the world, he remains eternally in the form of his name and in Srimad Bhagawatam which are considered non-different from Krishna himself. The target was to distribute at least 10,000 copies globally and ISKCON Punjabi Bagh also initially took a target of distributing 100 copies.
However, with words of encouragement and blessings from senior leaders like HH Jayapataka Swami Maharaj, HH Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaj, HH Radhanath Swami Maharaj, HH Loknath Swami Maharaj and many others, the congregation got really motivated to share this wonderful gift with maximum number of people.
Due to great effort from congregation and temple residents, ISKCON Punjabi Bagh were able to distribute ~500 sets of Shrimad Bhagawatam. The temple also organized a special yagya for all donors in Ahobilam, Narsimha kshetra.
