World Holy Name Week celebrations at ISKCON Punjabi Bagh

ISKCON Punjabi Bagh and its community of resident, youth and congregation devotees celebrated the World Holy Name Week from 8th to 14th October. Each evening Sankirtan walks/ Shobha Yatras were organized in different locations of West Delhi. One such Sankirtan Yatra was hosted by the students of the Hare Krishna Sunday School. Every morning, Bhagavatam classes were centered on Japa and the holy name. On Indra Ekadishi that fell in this week, the devotees came together at the temple for a ‘Japathon’ or Japa Marathon wherein devotees sat together to chant 64 rounds each.

The week came to a celebratory closure with the ISKCON Punjabi Bagh Kirtan Mela on14th October. On this day, several renowned kirtaniyas including HG Madhava Prabhu, HG Giriraj Prabhu, HG Sharad Bihari Prabhu and HG Saci Suta Prabhu came to sing for the pleasure of the devotees and the lord.
