SRILA PARMESVARI DAS THAKURA: Disappearance Day

Kaviraj Goswami states: “*Parameshvara Das, the fifth Gopala of Lord Krishna’s Lila, is reported to have entirely resigned to Nityananda’s lotus feet in complete submission. Anyone who recalls his name, Parameshvara Data, would quickly fall in love with Krishna.”

Parameshvara represents Lord Nityananda’s life, and his shape (body) is the site of his pastimes. Krishna Dasa and Paramesvara, in the spirit of cowherd lads, are always disrupting the calm of their household.”

Nama-sankirtan festivities took place in the Temple of Lord Jagannatha near Shri Rampur on a particular day.

At the time, Parameshvara was present and dancing in an intoxicated state of devotion to God. While passing by the area at the time, some petty criminals picked up an abandoned dead fox lying on the road and dumped it right in the middle of an ongoing spiritual gathering which was taking place nearby.

That unfortunate fox was brought back to life by Parameshvara’s merciful glance because the highly exalted Vaishnavas present didn’t feel any resentment toward the ignorant fools. Surprised by the fox’s appearance, they were shocked to see him gallop out of the nat-mandir (kirtan hall).

Shri Jahnava Devi sent the Radharani Deity to Vrindavana for Shri Govinda, and Sri Parameshvara Dasa Thakura went with him. He was a beloved servant of Shri Jahnava Mata, the goddess of love and devotion. He left on the last day of the month of Vaishakha, which coincided with the full moon of the month of Vaishakha. Khunti used in Sankirtan is placed next to the mandir where he takes his samadhi. Symbol: The Khunti is carried on staff before the kirtan party as a sign of respect.

All glories to SRILA PARMESVARI DAS THAKURA
